The vast majority of people have experienced anxiety and stress at some point in their lives. Both are reactions that are triggered in our body and emotions often by a stimulus. But, are you usually anxious? Do you tend to be stress out? The reality is that if you have answered yes, perhaps we are no longer talking about "normal" stress and anxiety but about a pathology. Multi-tasking, efficient, productive, busy ... decrees of modern life that are killing people's mental health. Think of a switch, I can turn this on and off at will, now visualize it as your ability to stress yourself and return to tranquility. The problem occurs when we no longer know how to turn off that tension.
Anxiety is the introjection of that tension. That is, there may or may not be a triggering stimulus. I can be seemingly calm sitting down when suddenly, it appears. It is almost always accompanied by some physical sign such as tachycardia, excessive sweating, difficulty in breathing, among others that alert us, leading to the corporeality that not feeling well. To address it, we need to dig deeper and inquire about what is really causing this "not feeling well". On the other hand, stress is more related to external stimuli. The concept itself comes from Physics, when referring to the oppression exerted on a certain material. In Psychology it is the same, only that this material is our own self.
There are various Anxiety Disorders that, if necessary, must be diagnosed by a specialist, as well as Chronic Stress. Its treatment is of vital importance so that there can be an evolution in the symptoms. Remember that it is natural to feel them, but you don´t have to live with them.
